The Minimal Faithful Degree of a Semilattice of Groups

Abstract

This paper constructs a minimal faithful representation of a semilattice of groups by partial transformations. The solution is expresses in terms of join irreducible elements of the semilattice and minimal faithful representations of groups with respect to certain normal subgroups.
